Hello, Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the HP Forums I would like to direct your attention to the HP Forums Guide. I have read your post on how your desktop computer used to display a CAPS Lock icon when the button was pressed. Activation Key Visio 2003 Phone more. I would be happy to help you, but first I would encourage you to post your product number for your computer. This will help me to determine which version of software your system requires to re-enable the CAPS Lock display again. Below is a is an HP Support document that will demonstrate how to find your computer's product number. Please re-post with the necessary information, this way I will be able to research this further for you.
I look forward to your reply! Hi again CARUCCJA, It is good to hear back from you! Since Quick Launch is not of your computer's version of operating system, I recommend following the steps in this document on. This should help install any missing original software and hardware drivers that first came with your computer. To update the newly installed software, please follow this resource on.
The updated software should re-enable the CAPS Lock indicator on your computer. Please re-post with the results of your troubleshooting, and I look forward to your reply!
Moorec - Well I don't know the model of computer you are using or what software, but - the HP site has a HUGE amount of information. This is good as the chances are high that somewhere the information you are looking for exists. The down side is that as more and more information accumulates, the harder is gets to find it. You need to look for an article or other resource in addition to just a manual. I suggest you try an advanced search.
Look at the help for advanced search and try to construct a query with your specific model number/software and other limiting factors as appropriate but including the exact hotkeys terminology that HP uses. Hope this helps. The KG-0851 keyboard which I have you have to press the Fn key which is next to the left Ctrl key and press the contoller keys at the same moment. I am able to control Windows Media Player with these keys in Win 7 64. The mute and vol keys work without pressing the Fn key However if your pc is screwed up like mine was this morning and there is no on screen display of the key presses, I downloaded a Keyboard driver file from HP for Vista 64bit and after getting rid of a couple smaller junk programs in the driver using msconfig at run box and not installing Picasa I am now able to see nice blue lettering and volume bars for the key presses.
