The SC115 consists of electronics protected in a custom molded package. It has a USB 2.0 compatible connector for attaching it to the PC's USB port, and a CS I/O 9-pin connector for attaching it to a datalogger's CS I/O port. The SC115 may be connected directly to a PC or datalogger, or connected through the supplied extension cables. The SC115 is typically used as an external data storage device, but may also be used as a USB-to-CS I/O synchronous device communications (SDC) adapter. As a USB-to-CS I/O adapter, the SC115 supports direct communication between a Campbell Scientific datalogger and a PC equipped with a USB port.
